A complete story to read together
One small step.
Someone beside you.
An adventure does not have to begin with a fearless hero. Sometimes it begins with a pause, a worried look, and a hand reaching back to help.

Up, up the big grassy hill went Pip and Wren. Swish, swish went the tall grass. "Again!" said Wren.
At the bottom sat a little bridge. "Hello, I'm Bramble," he creaked. Wobble, wobble. Wren held on tight.
"One brave step, and a hand to hold," said Nana. Step. Step. Creak! Pip stayed close. Wren crossed the whole way.
Can you take one brave step?
On the other side: butterflies! "I'm Flit," said one, landing on Wren's nose. Pip counted. One, two, three, ten!
Goodnight hill. Goodnight stream. Goodnight Bramble, goodnight Flit. "One brave step," yawned Wren. And both were asleep.
