Once Upon Us is for adults to use with children. Children do not create accounts. Please review every book before reading it together: AI can produce mistaken, unsuitable or unexpected words and pictures.

A made-up name and an imagined adventure are enough to try a story. Avoid addresses, school names, contact details, health information and other private details about a child.
What is available now
Early-access families can create from text. Photos and hands-free voice are disabled while the privacy work is completed. Website demonstrations use fictional children and include features that are still in testing.
Understand where information goes
AI providers help write, illustrate and narrate books. Text may also be sent for safety checks. This is not an on-device-only service. Read our Privacy policy for the providers, retention periods and your choices.
